Restaurant Construction Superintendent

Summary

A LOTT Superintendent oversees the workflow at the project site. The role is a complex one. He/She will not just be someone who supervises the work of others, but one who serves as an integral team member in assuring the plan made by the team is executed to the highest satisfaction of the client.

The ideal candidate will be a competent individual, well-versed in the project team plan, results-driven, focused, and have a complete understanding of the schedule, all scopes of work and potential budget savings.

The goal is to ensure that operations are carried out productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth of LOTT values.

Requirements

• Strong sense of urgency, no excuses
• Must be OSHA Certified and assure everyone on site adheres to OSHA safety standards
• Must have knowledge of all Project plans, specs, material lists and scopes of work
• Must be able to problem-solve
• Must be present while all work is being performed, materials are being delivered, and for all project meetings
• Must be on-time
• Must posess a sense of urgency
• Must be able to model professionalism to your team, subcontractors, vendors, owners, clients, landlords, and visitors on site
• Must be able to communicate effectively via Daily Reports, photos, 3-week look aheads, daily logging of conversations, RFIs, emails, and texts
• Must stay abreast of changing codes, addendums, as-builts, and inspection
• Must maintain and collect all critical documentations electronically and physically

Responsibilities

• Must meet with all subs: review all SOW, coordinate with the project schedule, and assure everyone on the same page
• Must assure work is done with care and follows the plans and specs
• Must be able to navigate changes, provide solutions, and avoid exceeding the budget
• Must be able to handle punch list items effectively and in a timely manner
• Must meet or exceed the scheduled deadlines to assure turnover and grand openings
• Must be able to set up a functional home base on site
• Must maintain a clean site
• Must be able to address any concerns, accomplishments, and failures by keeping a best-practice log
• Must be able to push manpower
• Must be prepared and pass inspections
